Farrell EvansWriter-Reporter, Sports Illustrated (Golf Plus) Farrell Evans grew up In Forsyth, Ga., 60 miles south of Atlanta. As a high schooler, he contributed to the Monroe County Reporter sports section, covering Little League sports. After high school, he played on the golf team at Florida A & M University and interned with the PGA Tour at the TPC at Sawgrass, where he chased carts and hit hundreds of balls into the water at the 17th hole. He worked at the Oxford American, American Legacy and Golf World before landing at Sports Illustrated to work for Golf Plus in 2002. He's a member of a few clubs in Georgia that he never gets to play. |
