John GarritySenior Writer, Sports Illustrated John Garrity joined SPORTS ILLUSTRATED in 1979 after holding various positions in the journalistic field since 1969. During those years, he was an assistant editor for Hi-Fidelity Trade News, an associate editor for Simon & Schuster and a freelance writer for numerous publications ranging from Rolling Stone to The Smithsonian. At SI, he has covered many sports, but his beat has been golf since 1989. His work for the magazine has been collected in a new book, Tiger 2.0. |
